Almost all vegetables are cut from this plan (except very low-carb varieties), and fruit is definitely not allowed. High-fibre grains are also out of the equation, leaving you with mostly protein and fat—two foods that contain no fiber at all.

Stick to this diet, and you’ll find yourself feeling supported in no time.

  1. You will have low energy. Another major problem with the ketogenic diet is that you will have little energy to carry out your exercise program. Your body can only use glucose as a fuel source for intense exercise, and if you’re not consuming carbohydrates, you won’t have any glucose available.

Therefore, the ketogenic diet is not for anyone who wants to lead an active lifestyle with regular exercise.

  1. You may suffer from brain fog. Those on the ketogenic diet may also find they suffer from brain fog. Again, this is due to your brain primarily draining glucose.

Some people may find that they start to feel better after a week or two of using the diet because their brain can switch to using ketogenic as a fuel source, but others may never find that they start to feel better.

The bottom line, this diet just doesn’t work for some people for this very reason.
